Before your travel
IATA is providing a visa invitation letter but cannot guarantee your visa issuance. In case you need it, answer “Yes" to the visa letter question during your registration: you will have to enter all the requested details for the letter to be generated. Note that it is mandatory to be fully registered to the WDS to get it. Please ensure you check your visa requirements as soon as possible to prevent any delay in your visa application.
We strongly encourage you to check the requirements to enter India from your own country on your local country government official websites. In addition, for guidance on visa requirements and further information, you should consult the IATA Travel Centre.
Many nationalities are eligible to apply for an Indian e-Visa. Travelers should verify their eligibility and apply through the official Government of India e-Visa portal: Indian e-Visa. Visa processing times may vary, and delegates are encouraged to apply as early as possible.
Foreign nationals and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holders are encouraged to complete and submit the e-Arrival Card within 72 hours before their arrival in India. The e-Arrival Card is free of charge and can be submitted through the Indian Visa portal, or the official "Indian Visa Su-Swagatam" mobile app (App Store/Google Play). Please note that the e-Arrival Card is an arrival declaration and does not replace a visa.

Arrival to New Delhi
Getting from the airport to the venue
- The World Data Symposium will be held at Andaz Delhi, by Hyatt (Asset No. 1, Aerocity, New Delhi 110037, India). The hotel is located approximately 3.2 kilometres from Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) and can be reached in around 10 minutes by car, depending on traffic.
- Delegates arriving at the airport can use prepaid taxis or app-based ride-hailing services such as Uber and Ola, which are readily available at the airport terminals.
- Andaz Delhi, by Hyatt offers a 24-hour airport transfer service using SUVs and MPVs. Contact details and additional information are available on the hotel website.
- The hotel is also well connected by the Delhi Airport Express Metro Line. Delegates can take the Airport Express Line to Delhi Aerocity Metro Station (the next stop), which is within walking distance of Andaz Delhi, by Hyatt.

Getting around the city
- Ride-hailing services such as Uber and Ola are widely available throughout New Delhi and offer a convenient door-to-door transportation option.
- The Delhi Metro is a fast and reliable way to travel around the city. Delegates staying at Andaz Delhi, by Hyatt can access the network via Delhi Aerocity Metro Station, located near the hotel. Delegates may also find the Delhi Metro Rail app useful for route planning and fare information (App Store/Google Play).
- For delegates wishing to arrange private transportation while in Delhi, Andaz Delhi, by Hyatt provides information on its transportation services and contact details on the hotel website.

Weather
In April, the minimum average temperature in New Delhi is 17°C (63°F) and the maximum is 38°C (100°F). Rainfall is generally limited, with only a few rainy days expected during the month.
Power plug
India uses power plugs and sockets (outlets) of types C, D and M. The standard voltage is 230 V at a frequency of 50 Hz.
Currency
- The currency in India is the Indian Rupee (₹) (INR).
- Tipping is not mandatory, but it is common to leave a small tip as a gesture of appreciation for good service in restaurants, hotels and for drivers.
- Credit and debit cards are widely accepted in hotels, restaurants, shopping centres and other major establishments. However, delegates are encouraged to carry some cash in Indian Rupees (INR) for small purchases, local markets, and smaller vendors that may not accept international cards.
- Currency exchange services and ATMs are available at Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL), major hotels and throughout New Delhi, making it easy to obtain local currency upon arrival.

Smoking regulations
Smoking is prohibited in most public places, including indoor areas and public transport; designated smoking areas may be available in certain venues.
While at the event
- Dress code: The dress code for the event is business casual.
- Wi-Fi: There is Wi-Fi available in the venue.
- Event app: The app of the event will be available 6 weeks before, displaying more information such as the floor plan and the registration on-site opening hours.
