The Cargo Tariff Coordinating Conference (CTC) serves as a platform for airlines worldwide to collaborate on tariff related matters, ensuring harmonization and efficiency within the air cargo industry.
The activities of CTC are limited to maintaining relevant resolutions for tariff structures and regulations, aiming to streamline processes and enhance competitiveness. The CTC provides quarterly currency exchange rate reports to its members and regularly reviews the government reservations which have been placed on resolutions.
Each active member of IATA that operates a scheduled commercial international air transport service for the carriage of cargo is eligible to appoint a CTC representative.
Objectives
The primary objectives of the CTC include:
- Maintaining and improving Resolutions that streamline the interlining processes and improve efficiencies related to cargo tariffs.
- Provide a forum for airlines to collaborate on tariff related matters to drive the exchange of industry information and encourage new developments.
Meetings
The CTC no longer holds face to face meetings. Activities are managed by memorandums throughout the year.
Membership
The CTC has two types of members: voting members and non-voting members.
Each active member of IATA that operates a scheduled commercial international air transport service for the carriage of cargo is a voting member of the CTC. An associate member of IATA may elect to be a non-voting member of CTC.
Publications
The Cargo Tariff Coordinating Conferences Resolutions (CTCRM) is available via the IATA TACT Online platform.
